A successful first pop-ip show in Drayton, Oxfordshire from Tuesday 23rd September through to Sunday 28th September
The event ran over four days — Tuesday 23rd, Thursday 25th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th — with opening hours from 10am to 2pm.
From the moment the doors opened, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Visitors showed incredible enthusiasm, with many taking the time to share kind words about the concept, even if they didn’t make a purchase.
The support and encouragement we received truly made the event a great success.
We were delighted to see familiar faces return throughout the week, alongside a steady flow of generous donations. It was wonderful to witness how deeply the local community connected with the pop-up shop and the values behind our mission.
As our very first event of this kind, we were absolutely delighted to see it surpass all expectations. Not only did it prove to be a fantastic fundraising achievement, but it also offered a brilliant opportunity to introduce even more people to the meaningful work carried out by the W&S Foundation Charity.
By giving pre-loved items a new lease of life, we help prevent valuable resources from ending up in landfill while offering the community access to quality, affordable goods.
Every penny raised through our pop-up shop directly supports our ongoing environmental projects and local community programmes.
We were particularly inspired by how the pop-up shop sparked meaningful conversations around sustainability and reuse. Many visitors shared that the experience motivated them to make small but lasting changes, from repairing items at home to donating unwanted goods instead of discarding them. It was a powerful reminder of how community-driven initiatives can encourage a more circular, environmentally conscious way of living.
Following such an amazing response and clear enthusiasm from visitors, we’re thrilled to share that the pop-up shop will now become a regular event. Planning for our next dates is already underway, and we can’t wait to welcome both new and returning supporters very soon.
