The W&S Foundation Charity exists for the public benefit. Our purpose is to protect and preserve the environment by promoting waste reduction, reuse, reclamation, recycling, and the use of recycled products and surplus goods. By giving items a second life, we not only reduce waste and protect natural resources but also create direct benefits for people and communities. Affordable access to household essentials, reduced carbon emissions, fewer items going to landfill, and opportunities to learn repair and reuse skills all translate into real, tangible public benefit.
We collect items from Household Waste Recycling Centres that can be reused, repaired or recycled instead of being thrown away.
These items are made available in our community shops in Dorset and POP-UP shops in Oxfordshire, giving local people access to quality goods at low prices.
We offer a collection and delivery service for larger items such as furniture, children’s toys and bikes, making reuse easier for everyone.
We run a two-tier pricing system: Cost-only (zero profit) for individuals in financial hardship and Low-cost retail for everyone else, with all profits reinvested into the charity.
We don’t just sell items – we share skills. Through workshops and community events, we promote repair, upcycling and sustainable living, helping people extend the life of the things they already own. Our network of volunteers and supporters are at the heart of this mission, making sure items are safe, clean and ready for reuse. And it doesn’t stop there – we also host pop-up shops to bring affordable, sustainable shopping into more communities. Keep an eye on our website for details of upcoming events.
